Maki is an open-source point of interest (POI) icon set created by Mapbox and designed specifically for cartographers and map designers. Every icon is pixel-aligned to a 15x15px grid and built as a clean single-path SVG, making them sharp and consistent at any scale. The set covers a broad range of map POI categories - parks, restaurants, hospitals, transport hubs, landmarks, campsites, religious sites, and dozens more. Maki is used across Mapbox map styles and is available via npm as @mapbox/maki. Icons are released into the public domain under the CC0 1.0 license, meaning no attribution is required. The project is actively maintained on GitHub and welcomes contributions from the community.
